Jan. 25
Lock it or lose it
4:03 p.m. — 500 block of Bay Isles Parkway.
Larceny. A man left his bicycle unlocked on a rack and returned to find it missing.

Jan. 27
Suspicious people
3:41 p.m. — 100 block of N. Shore Road.
Suspicious Person. Police couldn’t find two suspicious juvenile males, one of whom reportedly had long hair and a hat.

Jan. 31
Lost … And found
9:34 p.m. — 4600 block of GMD. Public Service. Police stopped a man who said that he was lost but couldn’t provide information about the hotel where he and his wife were staying. He finally found it after more than an hour of searching.

Feb. 1
Family bonding
3:32 a.m. — 700 block of Longboat Court.
Disturbance. A woman got in an argument with her brother because he and their mother were drinking and being loud and keeping her 5-year-old son awake. Her mother and brother agreed to call it a night.

Jumpstart
8:47 p.m. — 5300 block of GMD. Traffic. Police helped a man jumpstart his car.

Feb. 2
Can you make the cut?
10:17 a.m. — 600 block of Norton Street.
Disturbance. A man said that his neighbor had a worker trim trees that were on his property. The neighbor said that the trees hang over his property line and told the worker to stack the branches on the other property. His attorney told him that he could trim any tree branches that overhang on his property. Police told the tree-trimming neighbor to remove the debris from the other man’s yard but were unsure of the legality of the tree-trimming actions.

Feb. 3
Touchdown … Now turn it down
10:05 p.m. — 500 block of Putter Lane.
Noise. A woman apologized and agreed to lower her TV volume after police received a noise complaint about her Super Bowl party.

Feb. 5
Fill ’er up
2:05 p.m. — Broadway and Lois Avenue.
Suspicious Circumstance. A man loaned his truck to a woman who called him the next morning to say it was parked on Broadway. Police found the truck, and while investigating, the woman arrived with a gas canister. She said that she spent the night on a sailboat nearby and that the truck was out of gas. She handed the keys over to police, who returned them to the truck’s owner.

Striking coincidence
4:36 p.m. — 500 block of Bay Isles Parkway. Traffic Accident. A woman discovered damage to her black SUV, including white paint on the car. The driver of the white car parked next to the woman, whose vehicle also had damage, said that she parked next to the woman’s car without striking the vehicle. The driver said her car was damaged in previous incidents, one of which involved a black vehicle.

Feb. 6
We barely made a peep
3:37 a.m. — Linley Street.
Noise. A caller said that two people on a dock were making too much noise. The two people on the dock appeared intoxicated and didn’t realize they were being loud. Police told them to call for a ride.
