Sales pitch
11:26 a.m. — 500 block of Juan Anasco Drive. Harassing Phone Call. A couple received several phone calls from two numbers with the same area code about listing a property that the woman, a Realtor, had previously listed. When the woman said she wasn’t interested, the caller kept calling back and became ruder each time. The calls were coming from a company based out of the Philippines that had been hired to make telemarketing calls for a local real estate company.

Feline frenzy
7:29 p.m. — 3700 block of GMD. Disturbance. A man heard his neighbor telling her adult sons that he never feeds his cat and that she feels sorry for his pet. The man came into the mobile home and yelled that she didn’t need to worry about his cat, then pulled a gun out of his pocket, opened it and took out the bullets, saying, “I’ll kill anyone that (expletive) me.”

The woman and her sons fled to a neighbor’s home to call 911. The man turned to run away from police when they asked him if he was armed, but police grabbed him and found the gun in his pocket. He told police he had two loaded long guns in his mobile home. The man is prohibited from possessing or purchasing firearms by a domestic violence injunction. Police arrested him on one count of aggravated assault on a person over 65 and two counts of aggravated assault.

Put a lid on it
11:17 a.m. — 500 block of Channel Lane. Public Service. A woman complained that a Dumpster on a nearby property was overflowing. Police found that the lids were open and raccoons had apparently been going through the garbage. Police left a message for the property-management company requesting that it empty the Dumpster and close the lids.

Dec. 16
Search and rescue
