June 1
Open-and-shut case
12:45 a.m. — 500 block of Sutton Place.
Disturbance. A man reported that his neighbor opened and closed her garage door multiple times between 12:41 a.m. and 12:48 a.m. The woman told police that she was intentionally using the garage door as retaliation because her neighbor had loose floorboards in his house that were keeping her awake at night. Police have been dispatched for prior disturbances between the neighbors. This time, police told the woman to stop using her garage door as retaliation and to bring her issues with her neighbor to her homeowners association.

Pool day gone wrong
9:12 p.m. — 4300 block of Exeter Drive. Disturbance. A man was reportedly yelling and talking to himself in a condominium pool and then got out and started shoving chairs and other pool furniture around. The man had gotten in the pool with his clothes on but then wrangled his shirt off. The man gave police a fake name but then gave his real name, saying he had lied because he didn’t want to embarrass his family, after being warned that it was a crime to give false information to a police officer. The man was arrested for resisting arrest without violence.

June 3
Out in the open
7:29 p.m. — 100 block of GMD.
Beverage Violation. Police approached two men who were fishing in a park and learned that neither man had a fishing license. The men also had open containers of beer. Both men received written warnings for the alcohol violations and information about obtaining a free Florida fishing license.

Overturned boat
8:07 p.m. — 6700 block of GMD. Boat. A man reported that two possibly intoxicated men were trying to turn over a swamped boat offshore. One of the men told police that he and the boat’s owner, whom he knows as “Rocko,” ran out of gas and went to shore to get more fuel but returned to find their boat overturned. The man said that “Rocko” went to find someone to help them recover the vessel. Police told the man to make arrangements to remove it the next day.

June 4
Constructive warning
6:08 p.m. — 5900 block of GMD.
Disturbance. After receiving a complaint about construction work taking place after 5 p.m., police observed several men trying to load a forklift onto a flatbed trailer. Police warned the foreman, who said the after-hours work wouldn’t happen again.

June 5
In the dark
12:19 a.m. — 100 block of GMD.
Trespassing. Police issued written warnings to five people found in a park after hours.
