Sept. 8
 Bad behavior

11:50 a.m. — 9500 block of State Road 64 East. Battery. When a 13-year-old student refused to leave class at the request of his teacher, the student was escorted to a suspension room. When the teacher tried to move the student’s backpack, the student slapped her on the hand. The student was transported to the juvenile booking facility.

That's not the ticket
2:29 p.m. — 5900 block of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. Battery. A woman blew her horn at the driver in front of her because he was holding up the car wash line. When he didn’t move, she drove around him to the front of the line. He approached her car and grabbed the car wash ticket out of her hand and tore it up. He tore off two of her false fingernails in the process.

Haunted house
7:24 p.m. — 4800 block of West Country Club Drive. Suspicious Circumstance. A couple told police they have witnessed some strange events lately at their home. After they remodeled the bathroom, they noticed a large amount of blood on the outside of the bathroom window. They also discovered the entrance to the attic in the bathroom closet was open. Police requested extra patrol for the area.

Sept. 13
 Animal House

2 a.m. — 12800 block of River Road. Suspicious Circumstance. Police responded to a loud-noise complaint and discovered intoxicated teenagers leaving a party and more than 60 cars parked on the street. A teenager told police he only invited 10 friends over and “all these other kids just showed up.” Police told everyone to call friends or family members to pick them up because they couldn’t drive in their condition.

 

Rocky road
1:40 p.m. — 4600 block of Barracuda Drive. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman told police someone is scattering rocks all over her yard, driveway, sidewalk and her neighbor’s yard.

Burglary breakdown
2:23 p.m. — 3100 block of 65th Street East. Criminal Mischief. Someone attempted to break into a woman’s house by smashing a rear bedroom window. The attempt to smash the window failed.

Cosmetic injuries
9:33 p.m. — 2900 block of 53rd Avenue East. Criminal Mischief. A woman told police someone keyed both sides of her car, from the front to the back.
