The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

CYPRESS STRAND
Reported Aug. 30
 2:40 p.m. — 6300 block of Bay Cedar Lane.
Information. The complainant reported the condo association for which he is president is a possible victim of a Ponzi scheme. The complainant said the management company is using the condo association’s assets to secure unauthorized lines of credit. He already met with the condo association’s attorneys, and they advised him to file a report with law enforcement.

GREENBROOK
Aug. 28
 12:50 p.m. — 15100 block of Skip Jack Loop. 
Cyberstalking. The victim reported her ex-boyfriend has been texting her after she told him not to do so. In the past 24 hours, the victim has received numerous texts.

HERITAGE HARBOUR
Aug. 30
12:01 a.m. — 7100 block of Chatum Light Run. 
Criminal mischief. The victim reported an unknown suspect had splattered white paint on the windshield and front hood of her car.


Aug. 31
6:42 a.m. — The intersection of State Road 64 East and Grand Harbour Parkway. No valid driver’s license. The responding deputy conducted a traffic stop on the defendant for making a right turn on red with a posted sign. During the investigation, the deputy discovered the defendant didn’t have a valid driver’s license and never had one issued. The defendant was arrested and transported to the Manatee County Jail.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
Reported Aug. 30
11:10 a.m. — 7200 block of Desert Ridge Glen. 
Identity theft. The victim reported unknown person(s) used his personal account information to make unauthorized transactions from his checking account. The victim said the unknown person(s) created checks using his information and passed the checks as valid. The victim was able to provide a created check that had insufficient funds, which was sent to his home.

MYAKKA CITY
Aug. 27
11 p.m. — 37600 block of State Road 70 E. 
Vehicle burglary. The victim reported an unknown person entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her purse and several other items. Some of the items were recovered a short time later, but some of the items are still missing.

RIVER CLUB
Aug. 29
3:15 p.m. — 6215 River Club Blvd.
 (Braden River Middle). Information. The complainant reported she had an incident of road rage with an unknown white male, about 30 years old, at Braden River Middle School. She was trying to access the right-turn lane when the male refused to let her make the lane change. He continued to block her lane change and finally pulled his vehicle in front of her vehicle. He got out of his vehicle and yelled obscenities at her and her daughter. A tag number was acquired from the vehicle.

SABAL HARBOUR
Aug. 29
4:18 p.m. — 4700 block of Sabal Key Drive. 
Petit theft. The victim reported an unknown suspect took a package that was delivered by UPS to his doorstep. A case number was issued.

OTHER
Aug. 31
4:15 p.m. — 2911 53rd Ave. E. (Walmart). 
Retail petit theft. Walmart Loss Prevention apprehended the subject after he took several items from the shelf and attempted to leave the store without paying. The subject was arrested and transported to jail without incident.::
