The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BRADEN WOODS
Nov. 5
9:30 p.m. — The intersection of State Road 70 E. and Forest Run Drive. 
Possession of paraphernalia. The responding deputy conducted a traffic stop for no headlights. The smell of marijuana emanated from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle found a glass pipe, a glass water pipe and a digital scale. Both pipes had residue in them. The defendant was arrested without incident. The items were placed into property and evidence at the Operations Center.

HERITAGE HARBOUR
Nov. 4
1:58 p.m. — 100 block of River Enclave Court. 
Burglary to an unoccupied dwelling. Unknown suspect(s) forced their way into the residence. While inside, the suspect(s) placed several items in the victim’s 2005 Lexus RX330, which was parked in the garage. The suspect(s) then fled the scene eastbound with the victim’s vehicle.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
Reported Nov. 5
7:29 p.m. — 6700 block of Oak Manor Drive.
Identity theft. The victim stated for the past four months a company by the name of Experian Consumer Direct has been charging her American Express credit card a total of $14.95. Based on the victim’s affidavit and statements, she didn’t authorize the company to charge her credit card. The complainant also stated she physically has her American Express card in her possession, and when she called the company, it would not give her any information.

SABAL HARBOUR
Nov. 5
8:30 p.m. — 4900 block of Bookelia Circle. 
Criminal mischief. The complainant reported an unknown person moved his bike a few feet and spray-painted areas of it with white paint. A deputy was dispatched to check the area, but he was unable to locate the suspect.

SARASOTA
Nov. 6
8:30 p.m. — 8300 block of Lockwood Ridge Road.
Retail theft. The defendant concealed several articles of clothing in her purse while inside the store. She then proceeded to pass all points of sale without making any attempt to pay for the items. She was stopped by security and the merchandise, totaling $54.66, was recovered without incident.

OTHER
Nov. 1
9:01 a.m. — 2911 53rd Ave. E.
Retail theft. Asset Protection personnel observed the defendant enter the electronics department with a cart containing a purse and a Sony PS3 accessory. He then went to the furniture department where he concealed the Sony unit in the purse. He met with a female subject and they proceeded past all points of sale. The female picked up the purse and they left the store without paying for the concealed item. The value of the stolen item was $99. The incident was captured on video and a copy was placed into property. The defendant wasn’t apprehended at the time due to staffing issues. He later was identified relative to a theft at the Cortez Road Walmart on the same day and another theft on Nov. 6 at this location.
