The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

June 9
Quick rinse
10:30 p.m. — 4600 block of Sabal Harbour Drive. Trespassing. While working off-duty security, the deputy observed a vehicle parked in the parking lot of a clubhouse and a male subject walking up the sidewalk toward the pool area. After running the tag on the vehicle and making sure there were no warrants for it or the registered owner, the deputy proceeded to the pool area where he located the suspect naked on the side of the pool. The suspect stated he was rinsing off the salt water from going to the beach before he went out with some friends. He said he has a friend who lives in the neighborhood, found the gate open and decided to jump in for a quick rinse. The deputy contacted a woman on security detail, and she responded to the scene. She issued the suspect a trespass warning, and the deputy explained the homeowners association controls the clubhouse and recreational area and only a representative from the HOA could invite him back to the property. Otherwise, he was subject to arrest if he returned there. He acknowledged he understood, and the complainant understood the warning would be void if the HOA invited him back within six months. The deputy obtained the suspect’s right index fingerprint on a latent card and placed it into the drop box at District 3. The suspect left without incident.

June 11
Afraid of husband
11:30 a.m. — 26300 block of 83rd Ave. E.
Information Only. The complainant came into the Sheriff’s Office to provide information on her husband, who she believes is involved in child pornography. Her husband was arrested for violation of a domestic violence injunction June 9. He is currently in jail, and the complainant said she believes he is having his employee drive by her house to check up on her. She has previously reported the child porn concern to the Palmetto Police Department, and she was told to come to the Sheriff’s Office to report it. The complainant is afraid her husband is going to have her killed. A detective spoke to her and asked her to provide a written statement. She didn’t want to do a written statement, but wanted to talk to the detective in person, instead. The complainant was sent to the detective’s office to speak to him. She appeared upset and scared.

Family affair
8:23 p.m. — 4800 block of Bookelia Circle. Petit Theft. The complainant reported unknown subjects stole her wallet. Her wallet was located on the floor of her mother’s house June 8, and she noticed it missing June 9. The complainant stated her relative was moving out of the residence June 8 and may have taken the wallet. She didn’t see anyone take the wallet out of the residence. There was no forced entry to the residence.
