Backhoe blowout
9500 block of County Road 39
Auto theft: An unknown person stole a backhoe from the property at the corner of State Road 64 and County Road 39. The suspect used the hoe to clear a half-mile swath on the property before they removed the tires and fled. Because the vehicle had a GPS tracker, the Sheriff’s Office was able to locate the vehicle. It had never left the property.

Criminal mischief: An unknown person spray painted "Stevie-O" on the marquee sign of a mobile home community and used a slingshot to shoot rocks at the fence, which made small holes. The person has not been identified.

Ex's visit was smashing
1700 block of 28th Avenue East
Criminal mischief: A woman showed up at her ex-boyfriend’s home, even after he told her not to come over. When she arrived, she discovered his new girlfriend at the house. She became “irate,” and started using items she found in the yard to smash his truck windows. The total damage amount was $1,500.

500 block of 10th Street East
Retail theft: A man went into a store, took a sandwich from the deli, and started eating it in the store. He also put a FM transmitter in his basket before taking the transmitter out of the package and hiding the transmitter in his pocket. He then selected a hat in the men's department and hid it down the front of his pants. He was stopped by the theft prevention office of the store. The items totaled $28.91.
