Nov. 12
Walking disaster
12:10 a.m. — 1200 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. A man reported that a drunken woman in high heels with injuries to her left eye and forehead wandered onto condominium property and left the area after declining medical treatment. The woman could not be found.

Nov. 13
Deep sleep
11:41 a.m. — 500 block of Bay Isles Road. Camping Violation. A town employee told police that someone was sleeping in Bicentennial Park. Police found a man sleeping in the bushes, and he was issued written warnings for camping and possession of alcohol on town property.

Decoration violation
5:57 p.m. — 5100 block of GMD. Larceny. A Key resident reported that someone stole an 18-inch, blue-striped mooring ball and 100 feet of heavy anchor chain worth $300 from his property. Both items were attached to his mailbox.

Restraining order complaint
8:36 p.m. — 600 block of Companion Way. Disturbance. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend continues to harass her even though she has a valid restraining order in place against him. She filled out a report and was urged to contact the state attorney’s office.

Nov. 14
Property damage
6:56 a.m. — 400 block of GMD. Found Property. A bicyclist gave police a black case that he found lying on the side of the road. Police found a local resort room key in the case and were able to find the owner of the case. The case, which had fallen off the roof of the man’s car while he was driving over New Pass Bridge, contained two cell phones and a calculator that were flattened by moving cars.

Right of removal
1:21 p.m. — 4700 block of GMD. Code Enforcement. Police removed seven estate-auction signs in violation of town code that were posted in the Gulf of Mexico Drive right of way. The signs were returned to the man in charge of the auction.

Package problem
4:45 p.m. — 3400 block of GMD. Lost Property. A man from Germany reported that he and his wife were packing for a return trip to Germany and couldn’t find a black velvet bag that included a white-gold bracelet with diamonds, a plain white-gold bracelet, a white-gold ring with diamonds, a pearl necklace and some other costume jewelry. The couple advised they had also shipped some things home and that the bag might be in a package they already shipped overseas.

Woman leaves for the night
10:18 p.m. — 7100 block of Firehouse Road. Disturbance. Police responded to a 911 hang-up and found an intoxicated man arguing with his wife. The wife didn’t want to stay and voluntarily left for the night.

Nov. 15
Unwelcome vehicle
2:37 p.m. — 3200 block of Bayou Road. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman reported that a white sport-utility vehicle with two men and a baby inside pulled up to her neighbor’s home and sat there for several minutes before leaving.

Sign issues
2:48 p.m. — 4000 block of GMD. Animal Nuisance. A woman reported two “terrier-type dogs” on the beach. The owners of the dogs were located and advised of the ordinance prohibiting dogs on the beach. The dog owners left the area and told police signs should be posted explaining that dogs aren’t welcome on the sand.

Nov. 16
Suspicious spill
12:21 a.m. — 2500 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. A man reported a set of keys located near a car, which appeared to have blood around it. The “blood” turned out to be spilled cherry soda.

Call of the wild
1:09 a.m. — 800 block of Tarawitt Drive. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman told police she heard strange noises in the canal behind her home. Police checked her boat, dock and the surrounding canal and found nothing suspicious.

Nov. 17
Parking wars
10:07 a.m. — 7000 block of Longboat Drive. Traffic Violation. A woman reported that her neighbor, whom she doesn’t get along with, continues to park his truck on her property on purpose to annoy her. The man told police he has been parking in that spot for years because he didn’t want to leak oil on his driveway. He finally agreed to move his truck.
