BRADEN WOODS
Jan. 12
9:30 p.m. — 5900 block of 91st Street East. Criminal Mischief. Unknown person(s) keyed all of the sides and the hood of the victim’s pickup truck. The person(s) were not seen or heard. Two fingerprints were removed from the scene.

HERITAGE HARBOUR
Reported Jan. 13
5 p.m. — 600 block of River Crane Street. Burglary to an Unoccupied Dwelling. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s home by unknown means. Once inside, the person(s) took two large-screen TVs and fled in an unknown direction. The total value of the stolen property is about $2,000.

MILL CREEK
Jan. 13
9 a.m. — 1000 block of Woodview Way. Petit Theft. The complainant reported a piece of mail had been stolen from her residence. She also stated that four other neighbors have had their mail stolen, as well. The complainant was instructed to notify the postal inspector as well.

PALM AIRE
Reported Jan. 14
11:32 a.m. — 7700 block of Palm Aire Lane. Grand Theft. The complainant stated she had placed a necklace in her vanity. A cleaning crew was reportedly in the residence at the time. After waiting to see if the necklace would be returned, the victim decided to finally report the theft.

 SARASOTA

Jan. 14
12:15 p.m. — 4500 block of Summer Cove Drive. Burglary to an Unoccupied Dwelling. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s residence without force and removed a laptop, a diamond ring, a diamond necklace and a $100 bill. A neighbor, who was home at the time of the incident, stated she only saw one male go upstairs, but she recognized him as a resident from the second floor.

The victim stated she installed the doorknob on her front door herself and that she and her family are the only ones who have keys.

OTHER
Jan. 14
1:28 a.m. — 6200 block of State Road 64 East. Simple Battery. The victim and the suspect reportedly got into a verbal argument that turned physical. It was determined that the suspect was the primary aggressor, and she was transported to the Manatee County Jail without further incident.
