The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BRIARWOOD
 Nov. 19

3:15 p.m. — 5600 29th Street Circle East. Grand theft. The victim reported the theft of her air conditioning unit from her house. The unit was located on the outside of the home and valued at about $2,000.

COUNTRY OAKS
 Nov. 19

6:05 p.m. — 5000 block of 82nd Way East. Burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and grand theft. The victim left his Ford pickup in the driveway of his residence, which contained items that were stolen at an unknown time and date. The vehicle is not usable and has sat idle for months.

HERITAGE HARBOUR
 Nov. 19

1:38 p.m. — 900 block of Fairway Cove Lane. Grand theft. The victim reported a ring was stolen Nov. 18. He had placed it on his dresser while moving his furniture to the current address. The movers had possession of the dresser, which contained the ring, and the victim reported the jewelry missing after the movers delivered the furniture. The ring is valued at $1,000.

4:05 p.m. — 7100 block of Chatum Light Run. Burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s home while he was home upstairs and took his wallet, which contained four credit cards and his driver’s license.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
 Nov. 19

11 a.m. — Intersection of Pope Road and Center Ice Parkway. Grand theft and criminal mischief. Unknown person(s) cut the wires inside of 22 light poles on Pope Road, causing about $6,600 in damage. After further investigation, it was determined that six of the light poles were missing the wires. According to records, the streetlights were out when checked on Nov. 17.

Nov. 20
12:09 p.m. — 7100 block of Bluebell Court. Information (scam). The complainant reported what sounded like a telephone scam to him. He was contacted by a possible male subject who said he was his son. The call was garbled. The complainant told the caller to fax information. He received three more calls and decided not to comply with the caller’s request.

MANATEE OAKS
 Nov. 19

7 p.m. — 4500 block of 30th Street Court East. Auto burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the vehicle by breaking out the passenger side rear window and stole stereo equipment.

MOTE RANCH
 Nov. 18

1:30 p.m. — 6100 block of Palomino Circle. Burglary to an occupied dwelling. Unknown person(s) entered the home through the front door while the homeowner was sleeping. The homeowner woke and discovered the door was unlocked. She checked her purse and realized her debit cards were missing.

OTHER
 Nov. 18

9:30 a.m. — Intersection of Whitefield Avenue and Lockwood Ridge Road. Burglary conveyance and recovered/stolen boat. Unknown person(s) had taken a boat from the business parking lot, stripped several parts from it and then left it on the side of the road at the listed location. The owner did not know it was stolen until a friend told him he had seen it on the side of the road that morning.

11:51 a.m. — 5000 block of 44th Avenue East. Burglary. Unknown persons entered the shed on the rear of the property and stole a lawn tractor.

6:03 p.m. — 3700 block of 53rd Avenue East. Auto burglary. An unknown person entered the vehicle by breaking out the rear driver side window. The person then reached through the window and stole a backpack filled with books and a small black purse.

8:30 p.m. — 7300 52nd Place East. Vehicle burglary. The victim reported someone had broken the back passenger side window out of her vehicle and taken her purse, which was behind the seat. An estimated $531 was stolen. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $150.

Nov. 19
2:18 p.m. — 5400 block of University Parkway (Home Depot). Petit theft. The subject walked into the store with an empty shopping cart and returned a few moments later with a full car. The cashier entered his identification in the store computer, and it was rejected. The store clerk said the refund could not be processed and he left the store with the merchandise and drove to the Cortez Road location.

Nov. 20
2 a.m. — 8700 block of State Road 70 East (Sweetbay Supermarket). Loitering and prowling. Five individuals were found on top of the roof of the Sweetbay Supermarket. An employee of Switch Wizard became alarmed when he heard what he thought was people on top of the roof of the plaza. Sheriff’s deputies observed the subjects attempting to make their way down from the rooftop by climbing down a ladder. Further investigation revealed a cover of an air conditioning vent to the store was removed. The subjects stated they were just handing out. They were arrested and transported to jail.

9:20 a.m. — 2800 block of University Parkway (Publix). Petit theft. The victim reported her purse was taken from the cart at Publix. She said she had it when she went to the restroom. She then got a shopping cart and went down the candy aisle and started looking at items on the shelf. When she turned, her purse was gone. She notified customer service of the incident, and Publix officials agreed to review the tapes.

SABAL HARBOUR
 Nov. 19

9 a.m. — 4500 block of Runabout Way. Burglary to a dwelling. Unknown person(s) entered the residence through the attic crawl space and took items valued at more than $1,000.
