The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

COOPER CREEK
Reported Aug. 2
 10:25 a.m. — 8467 Cooper Creek Blvd.
 (Marshalls). Lost property. The complainant reported he lost his wallet at an unknown location. He said he believes it fell out of his pants pocket while he was in Marshalls. The wallet was in the side pocket of his sweatpants. The wallet wasn’t discovered missing until the complainant left the store and reached the gym. He has checked with lost and found department at Marshalls, but no one had turned it in. The store does have security cameras, but he wasn’t allowed to view the tape to see where it fell out.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
Aug. 1
 1:15 p.m. — 11205 State Road 70 E. (Publix).
Criminal mischief misdemeanor less than $200. The victim stated an unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver’s side window of his vehicle. There is no video coverage available. The estimated cost of the damage is $193.52.

Aug. 2
 10:45 p.m. — 8330 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. (Lakewood Ranch Medical Center).
Disturbance. The deputy responded to the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in reference to a violent Baker Act in emergency room three. As he entered the hospital, the deputy could hear a male yelling. Once in the room, he observed Sgt. Robert Tucker attempting to gain control of a white male. The male was yelling and screaming at hospital employees, including the security guard, who was assisting law enforcement. The deputy immediately grabbed the subject’s legs to help gain control. Once the subject was restrained, he became more upset and continued to cause a disturbance. The subject was then assisted outside and placed in the backseat of a patrol car. Once the subject had calmed down, he was restrained to a gurney by hospital personnel and taken back into the hospital.

PALM-AIRE
Reported Aug. 1
 11:21 a.m. — 5600 block of Palm-Aire Drive.
Obtaining property communication less than $300. The victim stated unknown suspects called her on the telephone at noon July 22. The first male suspect stated he was from an undisclosed company in Texas. The victim gave him her credit card number to purchase a Reader’s Digest magazine. The suspect then transferred her to another suspect who stated his name and said he was in Atlanta. She also gave him her credit card number because she wanted to change the magazine subscription she had ordered from the first caller. She stated she now has a $95 charge on her credit card bill.

QUAIL RUN
Reported Aug. 4
 5:37 p.m. — 4200 block of 74th Terrace E. 
Identity theft. The complainant reported an unknown person had used his wife’s identity in an attempt to open several different credit accounts. The victim was notified from letters received from the companies with the approved and unapproved accounts. The complainant reported his wife, who cannot speak and for whom he has power of attorney, doesn’t know who is using her information and doesn’t know how her information was obtained.

SARASOTA
July 28
 3:31 a.m. — 4900 block of Lakescene 
Place. Identity theft. The victim reported someone obtained her debit card information and used it to make unauthorized purchases at several different locations.

TARA
Aug. 2
 7:40 a.m. — 6600 block of Pinefeather Court. 
Criminal mischief felony $1,000 or more. The victim stated an unknown male suspect used an unknown type of sharp instrument to puncture all eight tires of the two vehicles that were parked in her front yard. The estimated cost of the damage is $2,000.
