The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BRADEN PINES
 Sept. 14

11 a.m. — 10400 block of Forest Run Drive. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed about $1,600 in property.

COUNTRY MEADOWS
 Sept. 16

11 a.m. — 14700 block of Second Avenue Circle Northeast. Burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s residence by removing a doorjamb lock and then lifting the sliding glass door off of the track. Once inside, the person(s) removed several items from several different rooms. There were no confirmed suspects at the time of the report.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
 Sept. 14

7:45 a.m. — 5500 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. (Lakewood Ranch High). Petit theft. Unknown suspect(s) removed the victim’s backpack from a locker. The backpack contained clothing, and iPhone and keys.

Reported Sept. 15
4:33 p.m. — 8205 Natures Way (Country Pancake House). Burglary to business. Unknown person(s) entered the business over a three-day period and stole $872 in food, including steak and cheese. Two doors were used to enter and exit the building. There were no signs of forced entry, so the owner said he believes it was a former employee. Nine latent fingerprints were obtained from the exterior and interior back doors of the business. The building doesn’t have an active alarm.

Sept. 17
1:30 a.m. — 14315 S.R. 70 E. (Chevron). Vehicle burglary. A suspect reportedly stole the vehicle without permission in Sarasota and drove it to Oneco to try and sell some amplifiers. It is unknown where and when the amplifiers were stolen out of the trunk. The amplifiers were reported missing when the car was returned. The suspect was last seen in Arcadia.

MOTE RANCH
 Sept. 13

8 a.m. — 6900 block of Superior Street Circle. Telephone harassment. The complainant has been receiving harassing calls. The complainant stated the caller is a male and has been calling at least twice each night to talk about religion. The complainant stated she does not know who the caller is and has asked him to stop calling her, but he has refused to do so.

MYAKKA CITY
 Sept. 15

12:01 a.m. — 26300 block of 83rd Avenue East. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole $90 speakers and siphoned half a tank of gas from the vehicle valued at about $20. There are no suspects at this time, and no prints were obtained.
8 a.m. — 10500 block of Myakka Boulevard. Found property. An unknown person dropped a syringe filled with a brown liquid in the parking lot. The responding deputy took possession of the syringe from complainant and placed the syringe into property and evidence to be tested by the lab.

PANTHER RIDGE
 Sept. 14

8 p.m. — 8100 block of Snowy Egret Place. Vehicle burglary. The victim reported that unknown person(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and removed cash and a GPS unit.
9 p.m. — 7700 block of Jay Watch Glenn. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) entered two of the victim’s unlocked vehicles. Once inside, the person(s) removed a jacket from one vehicle and a carton of cigarettes from the other. The person(s) then fled in an unknown direction.

SARASOTA
 Reported Sept. 16

5:10 p.m. — 8000 block of Desoto Woods Drive. Identity theft. The complainant reported an unknown person stole his identity without his permission. The person opened one account with DirecTV using his
Social Security number. Another attempt was denied with EchoStar.
