The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

CREEKWOOD
June 19
 11:30 p.m.
— 7500 block of 50th Terrace East. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the vehicle through an unlocked door and removed several items. The person(s) then fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
June 17
 12:01 a.m.
— 1500 block of Lakewood Ranch Blvd. Identity theft. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office faxed a copy of a fraud report to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. The incident took place in Manatee County, but the victim lives in Sarasota County. The victim’s debit card has been used at several different CVS Pharmacies within Manatee County, a Walgreens and a Red Box DVD rental box. The victim still has the debit card in her possession. The victim stated she canceled her debit card. The total amount of the fraudulent use is $774.12.

9 p.m. — 7700 block of Lake Vista Court. Burglary to a vehicle. Unknown person(s) entered the vehicles, which were possibly left unlocked. The person(s) then removed $1,200 in property from the vehicles before fleeing in an unknown direction by unknown means.

June 18
 7:50 a.m.
— 5910 Post Blvd. (U.S. Post Office). Criminal mischief. The complainant reported unknown persons keyed her truck’s tailgate while it was parked at her place of employment. The complainant stated she would check with the Post Office to see if they have any video of the incident. The estimated damage to the vehicle is $195.

PALM-AIRE
June 17
 11 a.m.
— 7500 block of Preserves Court. Criminal mischief. The complainant reported her owns the residence and it stays vacant for about nine months a year. The complainant had an appliance repairman doing a repair when the man noticed it was hot inside. It was later discovered that an outside copper AC line was cut. The manager of the repair business called the complainant and advised him of the damage, which was done by an unknown and undetected person.

OTHER
Reported June 20
 9 p.m.
— 9922 State Road 64 E. (Sunny Daze Preschool East). Identity theft. The victim stated she received a call from an individual who told her that the electricity at her preschool would be turned off if a delinquent payment in the amount of $229.13 was not paid. The victim wanted to make sure the power wasn’t turned off, so she made the payment over the phone using her check card. The suspect individual issued her a confirmation number. The complainant also stated she dealt with another individual over the phone. The complainant stated, since she gave the individuals her check card information, three charges have been made to her account at other establishments.

Reported June 22
 1:09 a.m.
— 3400 block of 29th Street Court Est. Telephone harassment. The complainant reported an unknown person called her juvenile son’s cell phone and pretended to be calling from an unknown sheriff’s office. The caller stated the complainant’s son has a warrant for selling drugs to an undercover officer. The complainant’s son received about three phone calls and the complainant herself attempted to talk to the caller. Neither the complainant not her son recognized the caller’s voice or can tell by the conversation if it was a male or female voice on the phone. All of the calls came in as restricted on the juvenile’s cell phone.
