The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BRADEN WOODS
May 11
 9 a.m.
— 6200 block of Braden Run. Burglary to an unoccupied dwelling. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s residence by smashing the glass in the front door. The person(s) didn’t remove anything from the residence. The person(s) then exited the residence through a window in one of the guest bedrooms and the lanai screen door. There was about $400 worth of damage done to the residence. The scene was processed, and four print cards were obtained.

May 21
 4:15 p.m.
— 6300 block of 96th Street East. Burglary. The victim reported that his Xbox 360 and five video games were stolen. He suspected his friend was responsible. When he went to the suspect’s home, he recovered the items from the residence. While inside, he saw other items he believed were stolen. The complainant went home and contacted law enforcement. The suspect was located at his home where he was asked for and gave written consent to search his home for stolen property. Several items reported stolen in other burglaries were found during the search. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Manatee County Jail without incident.

COUNTRY CREEK
Reported May 18
 4:20 p.m.
— 200 block of 147th Street Northeast. Theft. The complainant reported unknown person(s) removed 50 gallons of gasoline from his boat, which was parked in his driveway.

GREYHAWK LANDING
May 17
 6 a.m.
— 13100 block of Peregrin Circle. Burglary to an unoccupied dwelling. The victim reported unknown person(s) broke into his residence by prying open a back door inside of a screened-in pool area. The pool owner noticed the door when he was going to clean the pool. It is unknown if anything was taken at this time.

6:50 a.m. — 12600 block of Cara Cara Loop. Burglary to an unoccupied dwelling. The complainant reported unknown person(s) broke into his front door. The responding deputy observed a tool mark on the front door, which appeared to be from a crowbar. The tool mark was about two inches long. The front door was processed for latent fingerprints with negative results. The deputy canvassed the neighbors, but none of them reported hearing or seeing anything suspicious. Nothing appears to be missing from the residence at this time.

8:39 a.m. — 200 block of Petrel Trail. Burglary to a dwelling. An unknown male attempted to enter the residence by prying open two patio doors with a pry bar. After the home alarm sounded, the suspect fled to the front of the residence and then headed eastbound in the suspect vehicle.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
May 13
 10:23 p.m.
— 5500 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. (Lakewood Ranch High School). Possession of an illegal substance; drug paraphernalia and a firearm on school property. While on routine patrol, a vehicle was observed on school property with a marijuana pipe in plain view inside. A search of the vehicle yielded a handgun, cocaine and the pipe. The defendant was arrested without incident.

May 18
 11 p.m.
— 2300 block of Lorraine Road. Trailer burglary. Unknown person(s) attempted to enter the trailer by cutting the lock ears off. The person(s) was unable to gain entry because the doors are barred shut from the inside. The person(s) did break the handle on the side door, causing $50 in damage. Nothing was reported missing from inside the trailer.

May 19
 7:10 a.m. 
— 5500 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. (Lakewood Ranch High). Vehicle burglary. Unknown subject(s) burglarized the complainant’s van by possibly entering through an unlocked door. Once inside, the subject(s) stole a GPS from the center dash console. A similar incident also was reported.

May 21
 8:15 p.m. 
— 8200 block of Championship Court. Burglary. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s secured residence by breaking the back door. The suspect then stole about $24,855 in property before fleeing in an unknown direction.

SABAL HARBOUR
Reported May 17
 8:47 p.m.
— 4500 block of Abacos Place. Burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the residence through an unknown point of entry. Once inside, the person(s) stole $29,200 in property before fleeing in an unknown direction by unknown means.

OTHER
Reported May 19
 4:30 p.m.
— 5900 block of State Road 70 (7-Eleven). Fraudulent use of a credit card. The complainant reported the theft and use of her debit card by an unknown person. The theft was not witnessed, but the complainant stated she believes her son was involved.
