The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

BRADEN RIVER PARK
March 3
 8:45 p.m.
— 4900 block of 53rd Avenue East. Burglary to an unoccupied vehicle. Unknown person(s) entered the vehicle by breaking the front passenger side window. The person(s) then took the victim’s purse and its contents before fleeing in an unknown direction.

PALM-AIRE
March 2
 10 a.m. 
— 5800 block of Whitfield Avenue. Petit theft. The victim reported unknown person(s) stole her iPod touch. She stated she left the iPod in the break room where she works. When she went back to retrieve the iPod, it was missing.
 
REGAL OAKS
March 3
 9:15 p.m. 
— 3700 block of 61st Drive East. Juvenile runaway. The complainant stated her juvenile foster child ran away again, leaving out his bedroom window. A road deputy was dispatched to obtain an affidavit. The responding deputy then found the juvenile and returned him to his residence.
 
UNIVERSITY PLACE
March 2
 8:30 a.m.
— 7400 block of Green Street. Telephone harassment. The victim reported the known suspect made 20 annoying and threatening phone calls. The victim’s sponsor answered one of the calls and told the caller to stop, but the calls continued. The victim filed a sworn affidavit.
 
OTHER
March 2
 3 p.m. 
— 2911 53rd Ave. E. (Wal-Mart). Lost property. The complainant reported his wife’s purse missing. He stated the last time they saw the purse was when they left the purse in the car at Wal-Mart. The complainant stated he believes he left it in the car covered with a pillow because they didn’t take it into the store. They searched their entire house and didn’t find the purse. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. The total value of the lost items is $77.

6:39 p.m. — 2911 53rd Ave. E. (Wal-Mart). Retail theft. The suspect was observed placing items into the bottom of a stroller by store security. She was detained without incident.

March 3
 11:30 a.m.
— 2875 University Parkway (Publix). Retail theft. The defendant was observed taking items from the store without paying for them. The suspect was located in the 8400 block of Lockwood Ridge Road and placed under arrest. The loss prevention officer recovered the stolen items prior to the responding deputy’s arrival. The defendant was transported to the Manatee County Jail.

6:50 p.m. — 3800 block of 53rd Avenue East. Possession of cocaine. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was arrested for possession of cocaine. The rear driver’s side passenger was arrested for possession of cannabis. The driver’s juvenile son was sitting in the rear passenger side seat and observed the narcotics in plain sight. The Abuse Registry was contacted.

7 p.m. — 9600 block of State Road 70 East. Burglary to an unoccupied conveyance. Unknown person(s) entered the victim’s vehicle by breaking the driver’s side window. Once inside, the person(s) removed her purse from under the driver’s seat. The person(s) then fled in an unknown direction. The estimated value of the damage and stolen items is $208.
 
Reported March 3
 3:45 p.m.
— 4400 block of 51st Street East. Petit theft. The complainant reported the theft of his medication. He stated the suspect had access to his residence and believes he is the person that took the medication.
