Construction crews broke ground this week along Stickney Point Road on what will be Daiquiri Deck’s second location on Siesta Key, with construction likely to finish in spring 2017.

The south Siesta building accommodates parking for 40 vehicles with some spaces available underneath the building.

"I designed the building to meet or match up with the parking that was available on site, which was an unusual approach," architect Mark Smith said. "On Siesta Key, I would say that's the only approach."

CB’s Saltwater Outfitters and CB's Island Outfitters owner Mason Tush maintains ownership of the property located near the interesection of Stickney Point and Midnight Pass Road and hopes the development will complement the existing commercial structures.

“The open-air restaurant will have a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with some beautiful water and beach views for an authentic Florida ambiance,” Tush said in a press release.
