Condominium in Grand Bay sells for $2.97 million

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between Oct. 1 and Oct. 5.

A condominium in Grand Bay tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Edward Burke and Julie Burke, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the Unit PH3101 condominium at 3030 Grand Bay Blvd. to Deborah Renwick, trustee, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, for $2.97 million. Built in 1998, it has four bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths and 4,074 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $3.08 million in 2009.

Also at Grand Bay, Elizabeth Mixter, of New York, sold her Unit 535 condominium at 3080 Grand Bay Blvd. to Cynthia Guarino, trustee, of Ontario, Canada, for $525,000. Built in 1996, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,276 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $620,000 in 2008.

Manchester Bay
James Wallace, of Athens, Ga., sold his home at 3580 Fair Oaks Lane to Douglas and Kimberly Barber, of Longboat Key, for $1,785,000. Built in 1998, it has five bedrooms, six-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,103 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2 million in 2008.

The Water Club at Longboat Key
Arnold and Marcia Freedman, of Longboat Key, sold their Unit 504 condominium at 1241 Gulf of Mexico Drive to William and Elaine McClure, of Longboat Key, for $1.4 million. Built in 1996, it has three bedrooms, four baths and 3,045 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $798,000 in 1997.

Promenade
Eileen Berger, of Chicago, sold her Unit 1005 condominium at 1211 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Jacob and Patricia van der Vorm, of Lake Placid, for $679,000. Built in 1985, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 2,135 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $385,000 in 1989.

Country Club Shores
Seaview Realty Holdings Inc. sold the home at 524 Gunwale Lane to Steve and Betsy Friedman, of Memphis, Tenn., for $621,000. Built in 1966, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,135 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $419,500 in 1999.

Cedars West
Howard Townsend, of Manquin, Va., sold his Unit 203 condominium at 5655 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Michael and Linda Hamilton, of St. Charles, Ill., for $470,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,316 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $520,000 in 2009.

The Banyan Bay Club
John and Lori Cabibo, of Mahway, N.J., sold their Unit 508 condominium at 5270 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Thomas and Paula Bright, of Burlington, Vt., for $400,000. Built in 1974, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,460 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $560,000 in 2004.

Spanish Main Yacht Club
Richard and Patricia Knudson and James and Virginia Lopez, of Longboat Key, sold their Unit 141 condominium at 659 Spanish Way to Janet Marchand, trustee, of Longboat Key, for $320,000. Built in 1967, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,197 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $215,000 in 2008.
William and Judith Sherry, of Pleasonton, Calif., sold their Unit 181 condominium at 707 El Centro to Mark and Judith Kuhn, of Auburn, Ill., for $242,000. Built in 1969, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,357 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $130,000 in 1999.

Longboat Harbour
Leonard and Trudee Trudell, trustees, of Osprey, sold the Unit 305 condominium at 4440 Exeter Drive to Gail Gelber, of Ridgefield, Conn., for $240,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 992 square feet of living area.

Bird Key
Anne Glins, of Sarasota, sold her home at 655 Mourning Dove Drive to Douglas and Julie Cecil, of Bradenton, for $2.3 million. Built in 1969, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,779 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $467,100 in 1992.

Stanford and Rona Ross, trustees, of Sarasota, sold the home at 615 N. Owl Drive to Robert Kohnen and Sheri Weinstein, of Sarasota, for $950,000. Built in 1968, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,366 square feet of living area.

Lido Beach Club
Andrea Munzer, of Longboat Key, sold her Unit 405 condominium at 1212 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Edward Allen and Lorraine Gawronski, of Allen, Va., for $265,000. Built in 1974, it has one bedroom, one bath and 1,116 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $225,000 in 2000.
