21st Annual Longboat Key, Lido Key, St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament — begins at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, at the Longboat Key Club and Resort Islandside golf course, 301 Gulf of Mexico Drive. First- and second-place trophies will be awarded for highest gross, longest drive, closest to the pin and most accurate drive. The tournament features a 50/50 raffle and other golf prizes. Mote World Ocean Day Family Festival — takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 7, at Mote Marine Aquarium courtyard, 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway. The event includes ocean-themed activities such as crafts, face painting, games and more. Local environmental and conservation groups will have informational materials available.
