The Longboat Key Town Commission agreed to postpone reviewing a resolution that would submit changes to its Comprehensive Plan until 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 15.

The decision was made after town attorney David Persson explained that Islandside Property Owners Coalition attorney Michael Furen suggested that not all the documents were at Town Hall ready to be reviewed when a public notice regarding the hearing was posted last week.

The Longboat Key Town Commission also approved a request by a real estate developer to change the name of Triton Avenue to Triton Bend.

Also at its regular meeting at Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, the commission:

Postponed:
• Reviewing and approving an ordinance that provides for Internal Revenue Service compliance with the Firefighters Pension Board.

Passed:
• A resolution that executes a three-year renewal agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for mowing and litter collection along Gulf of Mexico Drive right-of-ways.
