Members of the community came out to show their support for Cara Bodziak for the 8th annual Cura Cara fundraiser Oct. 9. In 2007 Bodziak was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, juvenile dermatomyositis. The fundraiser is held every year to help pay for her treatments at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, medical expenses and to bring awareness to the rare disease. The benefit was held at The Beach Club and included a live auction, raffles, live entertainment and food provided by Tijuana Flats.
