Kindergarten students at Primrose School at Lakewood Ranch got a hands-on lesson in giving Nov. 19 as they headed to a local Publix to shop for food for the homeless for Thanksgiving. Over the last month, children have been doing chores at home to earn money to buy the food they purchased.

The East County Observer caught up with students during their adventure.
