We caught up with some Imagine School cheerleading campers after school let out Tuesday.

Chelsea Yoder, 8
How long have you been a cheerleader?
This is my second week.

What’s the coolest thing about it?
Stunts! We’ve been studying them and it’s really fun. I get to stand up on people because I’m tiny.

What’s your favorite stunt?
The “Star.”

Lauren Friseie, 6
How long have you been a cheerleader?
This is my second year.

How do you warm up?
People hold our feet and we roll around on the ground to warm up our muscles.

What’s the coolest thing about it?
The “Star” jump, because you get to spread your arms out, and it’s kind of like you go up in the air and you’re flying because you’re standing on top of people.

Piper Murray, 10
Why do you want to be a cheerleader?
I did gymnastics and thought it would be really fun.

What’s the biggest difference between gymnastics and cheerleading?
Gymnastics is much stiffer, and you don’t do as many tumbles and flips.

What’s the coolest thing about cheerleading?
I like lifting people up. I learned the “thigh stance.”
