Classic Cops of the Day: East County

 4:43 p.m. — 1700 block of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard (Publix). Retail theft (petit theft). A store manager stated a young male left the store and passed all points of sale without paying for a box of chicken and a box of doughnuts and ran from the store. A bagger stated he saw the kid leave, too, and recognized him from school. The suspect was positively identified from a photo and was arrested at his residence without incident.
