Coming clean
 2:38 p.m. — 5900 block of 53rd Avenue East. Possession of drug paraphernalia. The defendant was sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The officer received a signed consent from the registered owner of the car for a search, which turned up a metal pipe with one end under the driver’s seat. The defendant was arrested and post-Miranda stated, “Yeah, that’s my stem — I just smoked a rock about 30 minutes ago.” The defendant also stated that he has been up for four days smoking rock.
