Despite a projected budget shortfall of about $9 million, the City Commission voted to keep the millage rate at 2.7771, the same rate as last year.
The millage rate vote was the culmination of a two-day budget workshop in which City Hall’s department heads detailed how they were cutting their budgets this year to keep a flat budget.
