City continues street paving efforts

Streets near the Arlington Park neighborhood will be under construction through September as a part of the city's street paving efforts, according to a city news release.

Construction on Shade Avenue will be done from Bahia Vista Street to Hibiscus Court. On East Avenue, the work will be done from Baha Vistia Street to Hyde Park Street, and on Hillview Street, construction will take place east of South Tamiami Trail.

Work will also take place on Hawthorne Street and Arlington Street between East Avenue and South Tamiami Trail.

Before work begins on individual streets, signs will be posted to let residents know a specific timeline when construction will be under way in their area. Overall, the city's street paving project will continue through November and repave approximately 13 miles of streets.
