The Sarasota City Commission meets from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., and 6 to 9:30 p.m. today to discuss a variety of agenda topics, including parking at St. Armands, phase two of the Bayfront Mooring Field and funding cuts at City Hall, 1565 First St.

Commissioners will hear a St. Armands Business Improvement District feasibility study presentation. The study will address alternative methods in managing the shortage of parking spaces within the St. Armands commercial district.

In new business, commissioners will discuss how to proceed with phase two of the Bayfront Mooring Field. A grant from the West Coast Navigation District will fund the first two phases of the project, which will install 70 total moorings — broken down into 35 per phase.

Also in new business, city staff seeks authorization from commissioners to reduce funding for the Commercial Rehabilitation Program by $64,431 and reduce funding for the Newtown Resource Center in the amount of $84,303. That money would be reallocated to the Robert L. Taylor Community Center All-Purpose Athletic Field.
