Child injured in four-wheeler accident

A 4-year-old was transported to All Children’s Hospital Sunday afternoon after suffering serious injuries in a four-wheeler crash.

Ayden Kirk of Myakka City was riding a 50cc four-wheeler on private property when his vehicle struck a stump and ejected him over the handlebars. The four-wheeler continued forward and ran over Ayden, a Florida Highway Patrol report states.

He was transported by Bayflite to All Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
