Chamber still means (small) business

There’s something about business people — they’re just so darned busy. And to accommodate their busy schedules, the Longboat Key, Lido Key, St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce is switching up the format for its Small Business Week. Unlike past years in which seminars have been held back-to-back over a three-day period, the chamber will spread out its seminars throughout the year. And instead of the traditional breakfast awards ceremony, Small Business of the Year award winners will be announced at an Academy Awards-style Business After Hours from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the Players Theatre in Sarasota.
