Bustle named commission chair

Larry Bustle, a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and a former mayor of the city of Palmetto, has served as the District 1 commissioner since 2008, and was re-elected to his post in November.

The Manatee County Board of County Commissioners today voted Larry Bustle as the board's new chairman.

Bustle, a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and a former mayor of the city of Palmetto, has served as the District 1 commissioner since 2008, and was re-elected to his post in November.

The new chairmanship begins Jan. 1.
