+ LLSA Chamber is getting a ‘boost’ online
The Longboat Key, Lido Key, St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce has hired ADDY award-winning Boost Studio to create a new website.

“The primary goal for the Longboat Key Chamber is to make the sites intuitive and easy-to-use,” says Christine Koch, owner of Boost Studio. “We want to raise the bar for the form and function of chamber websites, to best serve the needs of each audience.”

The website will offer separate yet cohesive channels to meet the needs of the individuals who rely on the chamber for information and resources.

“We’re simplifying the navigation to create an inviting and uncluttered interface for the visitor, which requires a lot of strategy and organization,” says Steve Boris, owner of Boost Studio.

Boost studio received four ADDY awards and an AMY award in the 2012 American Advertising Federation–Suncoast competition. The company is based in Manatee County and works with business and nonprofit clients throughout the United States.

+ Local landmarks nominated as top 100 Florida buildings
The Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Florida) recently held an online voting contest of the top 100 buildings in the state. Making the list were several notable Sarasota buildings, including Plymouth Harbor and the Umbrella House, on Lido Shores.

Seven other Sarasota County buildings were nominated for the top 100: Sarasota High School, Cà d’Zan, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sarasota City Hall, New College Residence Halls, Alta Vista Elementary and The Cocoon House/ Healy Guest House.

The winner will be announced later this month, which is Florida Architecture Month.
