+ Caswell expands interior design business locally
Marie Caswell has expanded her design services to the Longboat Key and Sarasota area. Caswell, a Longboat Key resident with more than 15 years of redesign experience, also continues to serve clients in the New England area.

Caswell combines interior design and education services and often redesigns interiors using a client’s own furnishings in spatially new ways to reduce clutter, and bring in new colors and surroundings. Caswell offers hands-on redesigning, comprehensive onsite consultations and paint color consulting.

+ Sandbar Restaurant remains open during construction
The bar and dining room of the Sandbar Restaurant, 100 Spring Ave., Anna Maria, have been under construction since September, but the restaurant remains open. + Arpke, Miller team up for cooking class
Euphemia Haye chef/proprietor Ray Arpke and natural perfumer Lucy Miller, of Lucy Miller Pure, will team up for an “All Things Wonderful” cooking class at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Euphemia Haye Restaurant, 5540 Gulf of Mexico Drive.

The flavors presented in the class will take participants from champagne to shellfish to a dessert finish, each of which will be infused with pure aromatic oils.

+ Café L’Europe holds logo contest
Café L’Europe, 431 St. Armands Circle, will celebrate its 40th anniversary in January. In honor of the occasion, the restaurant is asking customers to vote on whether the restaurant should keep its current logo or go back to its original 1973 logo.

Two voters who pick the winning logo will be chosen at random to receive a dinner for four valued at up to $500.
