+ Woodall takes over sales and marketing at Beacon
 Dick Woodall, a member of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance, was named director of sales and marketing at Beacon Aviation Insurance Services Inc.

Woodall comes to Beacon Aviation Insurance, which focuses on workers’ compensation, with experience in commercial insurance. He also spent 10 years in the U.S. Air Force as a training and education manager.

“Dick’s combined military and insurance background will be a tremendous asset to Beacon Aviation Insurance as we grow and diversify our product lines,” said John Cunningham, president of Beacon Aviation Insurance Services Inc.

+ Cycling studio comes to Lakewood Ranch
Spin Fit now offers cycling, TRX and core classes in Lakewood Ranch.

“Our atmosphere is designed to be less intimidating than the large scaled gym setting, but all around more inspiring,” said Sandy Birczak, owner of Spin Fit Studio. “We’re striving to provide results-oriented instruction to help our member’s achieve their fitness goals.”

Spin Fit is located at 6277 Lake Osprey Drive, in Lakewood Ranch.
 
+ Small engine repair shop opens in Bradenton
Small Engine Repairs opened Nov. 1. The shop, which offers service and repair for lawn equipment, ATVs, scooters, generators and other items with small engines, is located at 4914 Lena Road, in Bradenton.
  
+ Coastal Orthopedics extends service
Coastal Orthopedics began its after-hours service Nov. 1. The walk-in clinic allows patients to receive full orthopedic care.

The service is located at Coastal Orthopedics on State Road 64. The facility will remain open Monday and Thursday evenings from 5 to 8 p.m., for walk-in patients only.

+ Addiction treatment provider announces three new centers
Twelve Oaks Recovery Center, a provider of addiction treatment services, will open three, free assessment-and-resource centers. The centers will serve as links between health-care providers and citizens.

A grand opening for the Bradenton location will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Envision Counseling Services.
 
+ First Watch acquires Atlanta restaurants
First Watch Restaurants Inc. acquired two Atlanta restaurants last week, as part of its plan to add 200 locations in the next five years.

The J. Christopher’s restaurants in the Atlanta suburbs will be converted to First Watch restaurants in the next few months.

The acquisition is the first in the company’s 30-year history. First Watch opened its 100th restaurant Oct. 29, in Panama City.
 
+ Reserve Collection homes sell for $2.5 million
In less than 30 days, two Traviata floor plans sold at the Founders Club, earning almost $2.5 million in sales.
The fully furnished Traviata model, a single-family home from London Bay Homes’ Reserve Collection, recently sold for $1.49 million and remains open for viewing through January 2013. Located along the Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed championship golf course at The Founders Club, a second Traviata home will be completed in May 2013.

+ Yoga studio moves to San Marco Plaza
Yoga Body and Soul is now located at 8205 Natures Way, Suite 215, in San Marco Plaza, Lakewood Ranch. The yoga studio offers classes in gentle yoga, vinyasa flow, chair yoga and yin yoga.
