+ Longboat Key Club and Resort honors two of its managers for achievements
The Longboat Key Club and Resort held a reception recently for two of its managers, who were nominated by their co-workers for displaying exemplary efforts. Safety Manager Robert Hunt and Sales Manager Melissa Sparks were honored for their achievements last quarter with a cash award, gift card and an engraved clock.

+ WUSF Public Media celebrates partnership with Armel Jewelers
WUSF Public Media honored Armel Jewelers, a family-owned business, for its 20-year partnership and sponsorship of USF radio and television stations. It became a sponsor in 1991. Its first branch opened in 1967 on St. Armands Circle.

“Through Sid (Melnick)’s leadership — and the continued leadership of Michael (Melnick) and his staff — Armel Jewelers remains a West Coast Florida treasure,” said WUSF General Manager JoAnn Urofsky, in a prepared statement.
