+ Advanced Management of Southwest Florida opens Longboat Key office
Advanced Management of Southwest Florida Inc. opened its Longboat Key office recently in the Mediterranean Plaza, at 595 Bay Isles Road, Suite 120H.

Staff includes Neil Fleet and Robin Nystrom.

Fleet has 20 years of experience in management and four years’ experience with Association Property Management with Beth Callans Management.

Nystrom has 10 years of experience in Association Management Administration with Beth Callans Management.

“Our office on Longboat Key allows us to continue the responsive service that communities on the Key expect,” Fleet said.

Initial clients for the company include: Bay Isles, Burns Court Villas, Diplomat Resort, Lido Beach Club, Sabal Cove, Weston Point and Cipriani at Venetian Golf and River Club.

+ Euphemia Haye restaurant welcomes changes to its interior, website
While Euphemia Haye owners D’Arcy and Chef Raymond Arpke were on a culinary cruise to Spain and Portugal, the restaurant underwent some remodeling. It now has new carpet, new countertops in the dessert room, new pizza ovens and a new espresso machine. The wood-and-tile floors have been redone, as well as the bar and countertop in the middle room. There are a new set of doors in the kitchen, dining room and behind the flambé stand and a few other small updates.

The restaurant has also launched an updated website and now has a new email address: www.euphemiahaye.com; [email protected].

+ Bonsack named new Longboat Key Club director of wellness
Longboat Key resident Kristi Bonsack has been named the new director of wellness at the Longboat Key Club and Resort. Bonsack will be responsible for overseeing the Key Club’s Islandhouse Spa, fitness center and Mind in Motion Studio in the newly created position. Bonsack is a graduate of the University of Florida who most recently served as president and owner of KMB Development, which focused on strategic business solutions for the hospitality, tourism and health-care industries.

+ St. Armands welcomes posh addition
St. Armands Circle got a little more “posh” with its newest addition: Poshy. The boutique, which offers women’s bags, beach apparel and gifts, will host a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at its new location at 476 John Ringling Blvd. The store’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. + Local cardiologist presents recent achievements at conference
Dr. Mahfouz El Shahawy, medical director of the Cardiovascular Disease Assessment Center in Sarasota, was invited to present recent achievements at Cardio Egypt 2011. This meeting was the 38th annual conference of the Egyptian Society of Cardiology; it took place in Sharm el-Sheikah, Egypt. More than 2,100 local residents have been evaluated by the staff at the Cardiovascular Disease Assessment Center, and more than 50% of those screened showed early signs for cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death nationwide.
