+ Lakewood Ranch Medical honored for its service
The parent company of Lakewood Ranch Medical has honored the center for its customer service.

Alan Miller, CEO and board chairman for Universal Health Services Inc., Lakewood Ranch Medical Center’s parent company, presented a Service Excellence trophy to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center CEO Jim Wilson March 19, in front of a crowd of UHS board members, hospital leaders, employees, physicians and community members.

UHS, which also is the parent company of Manatee Memorial Hospital and more than 20 acute-care hospitals nationwide, gives the award to honor customer service. Miller said Lakewood Ranch Medical has proven to be one of the best in the country.

“Service excellence is the most coveted award in the company, because it shows the awardees how they have treated every single patient, every single physician, every single member of the community,” Miller said.

Wilson said he was proud of Lakewood Ranch Medical’s accomplishments.

“We operate an organization that is full of integrity and has been full of successes over the last year,” Wilson said. “I know that you (physicians and staff) are as proud as I am to be a part of this company and a part of this hospital.”

+ Lee Wetherington will build in Marshall’s Landing
Lee Wetherington Homes added to its service lineup with a March 19 announcement it will now be building in Marshall’s Landing, a riverfront community off State Road 70.

The community will have 37 homes and has 34 sites available.

Lee Wetherington Homes will break ground on a new model there within 60 days.

“The location is breathtaking,” said Peter Mason, vice president of sales and marketing for the Lakewood Ranch-based homebuilder. “Every home site in this private, gated community has a waterfront view, and there is no CDD. Waterfront opportunities in this area are vanishing quickly, and this unique piece of property represents an excellent value for buyers. We expect sales to come quickly.”

Dale Key, of Sandals Realty Sarasota, will be the on-site sales representative for Lee Wetherington Homes.
Lee Wetherington Homes’ new model in Marshall’s Landing, The Osprey, will have an island colonial theme.

Prices will start in the low $500,000s, and homes will range from 2,300 to 4,000 square feet. The two-story Osprey model is expected to be complete before the end of the year, but homes are available for sale now.

+ Clickbooth president named top female leader
Clickbooth became more than a curious name after its president was recognized as a female leader March 1.

Clickbooth, an East County-based online marketing company that helps CPAs and CPCs network, announced March 7 the Florida Diversity Council has named Clickbooth President Erin Cigich a Glass Ceiling Award winner.

The annual award, given by the Florida Diversity Council, recognizes 13 female executives from Florida annually for their leadership.

Cigich, along with the other female recipients, was formally recognized during an award ceremony at the third Annual Florida Women’s Conference at the Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale-Davie.
