Brown selected as mayor

The Longboat Key Town Commission selected Jim Brown as the town’s next mayor by a vote of 5-2 Monday night at Town Hall.

Commissioners Hal Lenobel and Robert Siekmann voted for Siekmann, the town’s most senior member.

Commissioner David Brenner was selected as the town’s vice mayor by a 7-0 vote.
