The Bridge Street Merchants have attempted to extend their season from November into May and June, but decided the heat is hard to beat. But organizer Melissa Enders found a solution: a market at night.

On Sunday, June 2, the Bridge Street Merchants Association hosted its first night market. The group began in 2006 as a non-profit group of merchants dedicated to promoting historic Bridge Street.

It showcased Bradenton Beach restaurants, gourmet desserts, handmade arts and crafts, jewelry, clothes, home décor, fine art and fun. Approximately 35 vendors were present for the after-dinner experience. Moonracer No Kill Animal Rescue will be present at future night markets with plenty of new pets to adopt.

Attendees can expect live music, local food and many dessert-type options. The Fish Hole is even hosting a mini-golf tournament during each event. For more information, visit bridgestreetmerchants.com.
