First-grade students at Braden River Elementary School celebrated their 100th day of school with a special celebration today.

As part of the festivities, the school hosted a 100th Day Collection Museum in the cafeteria. Children brought 100 of their item of choice — everything from coins and marshmallows to bracelets and fortune cookies — to the cafeteria to count and then show to other students.

First-grader Madison Wandall, whose father died in a car accident at Tara Boulevard and State Road 70 just weeks before she was born, brought in 100 cupcakes as her item in celebration of her father, Mark’s, 38th birthday, which was today as well.

Kindergarten students celebrated the day with counting projects, special hats, placements and more, as well.
