Emma E. Booker Elementary students' artwork will be on display at USF Sarasota-Manatee’s College of Education Friday, Jan. 17.

The installation titled “What I Can be with a College Degree” includes work by 85 fifth grade students.

On Friday, Students will unveil their artwork of how they imagine their future self after achieving a college degree.

Students prepared for the display by researching different state universities, college degrees and professions. Students also received help from interning teacher candidates from USFSM’s College of Education.

The collaboration between USFSM and Booker Elementary is part of the College of Education’s Center for Partnerships in Arts Integrated Teaching (PAInT). USFSM and Booker Elementary hope the collaboration promotes the importance of higher education and art among local students.

The artwork will be on display on the third floor of the USFSM College of Education’s Rotunda Building, 8350 N. Tamiami Trail.
