Betty Johnson gets a new set of wheels

Longboat Key resident Betty Johnson, 90, purchased her fourth Jaguar recently from Wilde Jaguar of Sarasota.

When her 2004 Jaguar XJ was being serviced, she wandered around the dealership showroom and saw the brand new red Jaguar XJL brought out onto the floor and decided to buy it on the spot.

Johnson and her husband, Carl, moved to Longboat Key in 1965, when the Key was inhabited by just 900 people. The couple built and ran The Outrigger resort. They bought their first Jaguar in 1975.
