It was Elise Lipoff versus Laura Lipps at the second annual Burns Square Chili Cook-off Feb. 6. With her beef, triple-meat Texas chili, which she claims was the only “real” chili at the event, Lipoff took first place by seven votes, edging out defending champion, Galileo’s Ristorante.
Although Lipoff wouldn’t divulge her secret ingredient, Lipps said she uses hot sausage to give her chili a natural zing.
