Barwin appoints human resources director

Sarasota City Manager Tom Barwin has rounded out his leadership team with the promotion of Stacie Mason to human resources director.

Mason, a 10-year veteran with the city of Sarasota, played a key role in the department resources while Barwin filled positions for the Sarasota police chief, finance chief and utilities director, and served as the interim director of human resources for the last six months, according to an Aug. 9 news release.

“(Mason) has performed exceptionally well as the Interim Human Resources Director,” Barwin said in the release.
