Barr Dunn gets the party started

She looked to her left and she looked to her right, then she shook her hips with all of her might.

As soon as Edith Barr Dunn spotted several neon hula-hoops lying around at Freedom Fest Monday, July 4, she jumped right up and grabbed one for herself. It only took about 10 seconds before she got the hang of it, and, suddenly, the children watching her were pleading to join in the hula-hooping contest.

Also spotted at Freedom Fest was Longboat resident Virginia Sanders who never misses a year. She reported she enjoyed the festivities and had a huge grin on her face.
