Authorities seek armed robbery suspect

Sarasota Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a north Sarasota Subway at gunpoint Saturday.

According to witnesses, a man in a black ski mask wielding a semi-automatic handgun forced an employee of the store at 1154 N. Washington Blvd. to open the cash register, then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect, according to a news release from SPD spokeswoman Genevieve Judge.
