The East County Observer and Bogey’s Restaurant and Sports Pub have teamed up to showcase the East County’s top athletes. Each recipient’s article will be featured on the restaurant’s wall.
Lakewood Ranch High School finally was able to notch a win against East County rival Braden River Sept. 3, thanks in no small part to running back Taryn Laws’ consistent and powerful legs. Laws kept the Mustang offense churning during much of the second half — when Lakewood needed to keep the clock moving and the Pirate offense on the sidelines.
