What is the best part of your game?
The best part of my game is my steadiness. I try to get to the ball, and I try to return it. Hopefully, I don’t try to do too much with it, but just keep it in play and hope that I wear the other person down.

What would you like to improve?
Well, I think probably my serve. If I had a bigger serve, I could really do more damage right off. If I had a serve like Rafael Nadal or even Kim Clijsters, I’d be in good shape.

So, your husband got you into the game?
I remember when we had one of our first dates he took me to play tennis … all he remembers is what I wore! My husband, Andy, is a good player — he’s an excellent player. I’m an OK player.

Who do you like to watch professionally?
I like, even though she’s not an American player, Samantha Stosur’s style.
