Area athletes ink college choices

Twenty-seven East County and Sarasota County student athletes made their college choices known today during National Signing Day ceremonies at their respective high schools.

Feb. 5 marks the first official day that football players can sign national letters-of-intent. Athletes also signed golf, soccer, swimming and track and cross-country scholarships.
