After 33 years in residence at the Arbomar, 87-year-old Olive “Rusty” Blackwell is moving on — but she won’t be going far. In April, friends at Arbomar honored her at a farewell party before her move to Plymouth Harbor.

A retired professor with a doctorate in literature, Blackwell has had many interests. She belonged to the Audubon Society and traveled extensively. An avid reader, Blackwell had a large book collection but was unable to take them all with her. A highlight of the party was a poem about her life written by Bill Baxter, an Arbomar owner.
